Start with the Word

When we write devotionals, our foundation must be God’s Word and not our opinions, not just stories, not random inspiration. Paul reminds us that “All Scripture is God-breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” That means every verse is rich soil where your writing can take root.

Instead of starting with what you want to say, start with what God has already said.
