Prompt: Write a micro-devotional in 150 words or less.
Encouragement: Short doesn’t mean shallow and power lives in clarity.
Faith in a Flash
Sometimes, the most powerful devotionals are the shortest. They’re like spiritual espresso shots - small but strong.
Jesus often spoke in short, striking phrases that carried eternal truth. (“It is finished.” – John 19:30)
Your challenge today:
Pick one verse or one truth God has shown you.
Focus on one takeaway - just one, no extras.
Write it in 150 words or less so that every sentence counts.
Pro tip: Read it out loud. If it feels cluttered, cut a sentence. If it still works, you just made it stronger.
Example Micro-Devotional (78 words):
"I thought peace would come when everything settled. But God whispered, ‘Peace isn’t the absence of trouble, it’s My presence in the trouble.’ In John 14:27, Jesus promises a peace the world can’t give. That means I can sit in the middle of the storm and still rest, because His presence is my anchor. Whatever the waves today, remember: His peace isn’t fragile, it’s a fortress. Step inside it today and breathe."
